1. The Christ
Because we so value Jesus Christ, The Messiah, and what it means to serve in His kingdom; we commit and endeavor to serve Jesus Christ our Savior, Lord, and King in complete surrender. We are living out the glory of John 3:16 so that our love for Him and one another is attractive and compelling; a Christ-Centered existence… John 13:35
2. The Bible (THE STORY OF GOD AND MAN)
Because we so value the written Word of God, we will examine and thoughtfully plan around the preaching and teaching of the Word. Not only formal services but encouraging personal and group bible studies and comprehensive bible education to help Christians and seekers in becoming healthy followers of Jesus Christ.
3. The Worship
Because we take seriously the coming together to worship and for fellowship and their impact on our maturing, we with intention look to thoughtfully cultivate health and inspiration worship events, as well as the prayerful crafting of Sunday services, prayer gatherings, outreach, and, special services.
4. “One Another-ness”
We value one another because God has assigned us supreme value. This was manifested by Him sending His Son to redeem all mankind. And by that redeeming the whole of creation. He demands that we consider one another in the same manner that He does! He commands us to love, be devoted to, build up, accept, admonish, care for, be likeminded toward, be patient with, comfort, teach, bear with, encourage, stir up, pray for, confess faults to, show hospitality to, speak in music too and look to the interests of ONE ANOTHER .
5. Optimal Atmosphere
Because we value stewardship & beauty, we are establishing a continued plan and schedule (to include thoughtful maintenance) for making Stillmeadow inviting, pleasant, beautiful, and comfortable; a place of refuge, refreshment & inspiration; representative of the Glory of our wondrous & welcoming Lord.
6. A City On A Hill
Our City is Baltimore
Because we value our city - And, we do because HE seems to place great emphasis on urban dwelling places. We use our wisdom from above and our collective power for good; being a city on a hill means a blessing to all around us. Be careful to marshal our human and economic resources to benefit communities and shine glory on the message of redemption.
7. PeacePark
Because we value the Word of God, stewardship, and beauty, the city of Baltimore, and because we value one another; we are learning to consider Stillmeadow PeacePark as a clear and singular gift from above! Having 10 acres of forest, in which we have been able to develop walking paths, meditation stations, an apiary, and the ongoing pleasure of partnership with a wide group of EFCA churches, local organizations, and government entities. One of our goals is to develop a healthy model of collaboration for the multi-level development of a community.
But, the main focus of the PeacePark is to promote a “creation-connected” focus on spiritual health including spiritual disciplines (such as prayer, gratitude, meditation, fasting, silence, celebration), physical discipline, and communion. The result of all this activity is in Matthew 5:13-14
“In the same way let your light so shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” In the proceeding verses, it reads: “14 You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
